With turnover in chapter leadership, new chapter board members may not be aware of the resources that they can access. In the ISPI Collaboration, you have access to several resources in the Global Chapter Forum community.
Sampling of Resources
Here is a short list of resources that may benefit your chapter:
- Chapter Strategy and Tactics Workbook
This tool is a menu of all possible things a chapter needs to do and can do. It enables chapters to plan, describe what success looks like, and track progress over the year. You can use this to gauge chapter health.
- 2013 Chapter Leaders Workshop Videos
Each year, ISPI provides chapter leaders a free, one-day workshop at the annual April conference. Access this site to review what occurred at last year’s workshop, and look forward to the 2014 Chapter Leaders Workshop as well!
- History of HPT
Access Judy Hale’s PowerPoint presentation that she used to discuss the history of human performance technology.
- Using YouTube to Promote Your Chapter Events
See an example of how the Michigan Chapter used YouTube to promote an upcoming event.
- Sample Newsletter: Armed Forces Chapter
If you are planning to start a newsletter, review a sample newsletter from the Armed Forces Chapter.
A Call for Help
As a member of the Global Chapter Forum community, you can contribute to the resources. If you have a resource (job aid, template, or work sample) that you believe would benefit other chapters, try uploading your resource to the Collaboration site, or you can email your resource to me, to have me post the resource on your behalf.
