ISPI is offering three courses September 9-11, 2013, in Chicago, Illinois: Principles & Practices of Performance Improvement Institute, Developing an HR Optimization Plan, and Certified Performance Technologist Workshop.

Principles & Practices and Developing and Developing an HR Optimization Plan have been pre-approved for general recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute. This pre-approval by the HR Certification Institute is not an endorsement of the quality of the program. It means that this program has met the HR Certification Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification credit hours.

Principles & Practices of Performance Improvement Institute

Don’t take our word for the value this course holds. Here is what Scott Collins from American United Life Insurance Company had to say:

“The Principles and Practices workshop ranks among the best learning experiences in my career. The faculty combined well-researched content, practical tools, and engaging facilitation into an experience that not only conveyed the material but had us demonstrate that we could apply it. NEW! Developing an HR Optimization Plan
Do your HR Department transactions exceed organizational expectations? Does your transformational work cause internal groups to seek or resist your involvement? Do you have an optimization plan to guide your department as it evolves from where it is today to where you want to be?

This 2-day workshop will examine a methodology–called Human Performance Technology–for defining desired organizational results, ascertaining objectively your department’s current state, and building a measurable process to close the gap.

CPT Workshops: Preparing for the CPT
Whether you work primarily in instructional design, technical documentation, process improvement, or performance consulting, this workshop will show you how the CPT can help you prove that your work adds value to your clients.

During this workshop you will get an overview of the revised Standards on which the Certified Performance Technology (CPT) is based, the certification process, and how the credential came about. As a result, you will gain a deeper understanding of the Standards and the criteria for achieving the CPT. You will engage in exercises where you will apply a reviewer’s checklist to sample applications. You will see examples of well-documented applications and reviewers’ feedback on some that did not meet the standards. You will also use a self-assessment guide to determine your readiness to apply for the certification.

Don’t take our word for how valuable this course is to obtaining the CPT. Here are what attendees from Sprint and World Learning had to say:

“I began my career in learning and development and not surprisingly began to find most business problems being brought to me could not be solved with training. I was attracted to ISPI and their CPT program because their commitment to the principles of performance improvement focuses on all the pieces of the performance puzzle. My CPT credential shows I can use and apply the standards and bring solid value to the table for my business partners”
–Kathryn Sulloway Adams, CPT, Human Resources, Sprint

“The CPT Workshop was very helpful–demystified the process and helped people see their experience through the ISPI/HPT lens.”
–Matt Brown, Capacity Building Specialist, World Learning
