By Carol Haig, CPT, and Roger Addison, CPT, EdD

Once again, we have arrived at our final column for the year. Here at TrendSpotters Central we take a moment to reflect on the events of the past 12 months. Among our many professional activities, an enduring highlight for us is writing this column. We value learning from our many wonderful guests and enjoy talking with them about their work.

This year, we continued to feature models and tools you can use, but sourced some of them from disciplines related to, but not part of, the HPT community. A grateful shout out to all of our 2011 contributing TrendSpotters: Jim Hill, Andy Kimball, Tim Brock and Peggy Meli, Elliott Masie, Glenn Hughes, Andy Hill, Joseph Fiskel, Marilyn Gilbert, Matt Donovan, Phil Kirby, Mitchell Kusy and Elizabeth Holloway.

And to our readers…
We hope we have brought you perspectives and ideas that fueled your daily work and your professional growth. When you send us questions or seek us out at conferences, we appreciate the opportunity to communicate directly and to hear how we can continue to make TrendSpotters a valuable resource.

2012 Factoids
Beginning in January, ISPI will celebrate its 50th Anniversary, and TrendSpotters will revel in 10 years of publication. So, we are 1/5 the age of our Society and honored to have served the membership for all this time. This column has showcased more than 100 performance improvement professionals over the years. And, TrendSpotters is the longest running column in ISPI history.

We wish you all warm and wonderful holidays with family and friends, and thank you for your readership.
